Maine is undergoing a renaissance.  Not long ago our biggest concern was that our children would not be able to make a living and stay in Maine.  Increasingly there are opportunities for young Mainer’s to do just that – and it’s showing as new businesses start up or Mainer’s return home while continuing their work remotely in an increasingly electronic working world.  An entirely new chapter of this renaissance is the advent of the Corona virus – and it’s implications on work, working from home and social interaction.  Hopefully we will soon all be able to resume our restaurant visits at the conclusion of our hikes!  Stay tuned.

This is also reflected in new restaurants, farmers markets, craft breweries, flour mills and more showing up across the state.  I continue to find new taste treats across the state – and likewise am still surprised by new hikes in hidden nooks and crannies across the state.

I hope to share these discoveries with you through this site – and hope you will return on a regular basis.
